After the Saab bankruptcy the museum was closed. After a dangerous period, where all the exhibited cars had to be sold and spreaded all over the world the City of Trollhattan, SAAB AB and The Wallenberg Foundation saved the museum.

The Saab Car Museum is a very important part of Saab, it's heritage as well as showcase of automotive history. Tomorrows reopening is also a symbol of hopes of all fans, that Saab as the whole will be reopened as well.
